A brief but impressive ceremony took place at the ET Willet Park on Thursday 18th January.
That is when the 2015 edition of the kiddies’ cricket program hosted by the West Indies cricket Board and sponsored by Scotia bank, took place.
The ceremony was chaired by Leeward Islands Territorial Development Officer, Mr. Junie Mitcham who reiterated the importance of the program to the young cricketers in terms of their future development and for opening opportunities for their success since the inception of the program
Representing Scotia bank was Mrs. Nicola Lawrence who spoke in glowing terms of her institution’s contributions to West Indies cricket throughout the years primary school students
Vice President of the Nevis Cricket Association, Vellie Maynard, expressed gratitude for the program on behalf of his Association
Sports Coordinator at the Education Department, Miss Michelle Sutton admonished the children present to use the opportunity to excel .Later in the year, the program will climax with a grand cricket festival for the youngsters.
