KING SOOKIE REIGNS SUPREME

St. Thomas’ Parish-Nevis-Four peat Junior Calypso King on Nevis; King Sookie, added another expensive feather to his already crowded cap, when he walked away with the crown at the St. Thomas’ Fes’ 2016, Calypso Monarch competition.

The competition was held on the evening of Friday 16th September.

Some nine calypsonians competed as follows:

The judges’ panel comprised of Augustine Merchant; Dexter Boncamper; Warren Moven; Bernel Hanley and Denrick Liburd.

At the end of the very interesting show, which attracted quite a huge crowd, the following top placements were announced:

King Sookie-winner with 409 points

1st runner up-Prince Akido- 383 points

2nd runner up-Invincible—363 points
