The kite-making workshop hosted by the Department of Gender Affairs concluded on Sunday, April 13th, with lessons on how to cover the kites with paper. Facilitator
and Coordinator Verna Grant reported that there were a total of 38 participants, including fathers and some mothers.
The final sessions on Saturday and Sunday focused on the papering of the kites, where the already constructed frames were carefully covered in colourful designs.
The general public is cordially invited to the kite-flying event at the Hardtimes playing field on Saturday, April 19th, starting at noon.
