Labour Party Futuristic Vision For Federation Bearing Fruit

By St Kitt-Nevis Labour Party, February 16, 2018-  The entire Federation is reaping the rewards of years of hard work put into the development of St. Kitts and Nevis by the previous St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party administration.

Just this week, the Federation was identified as once again topping key accomplishment lists in the region, particularly destination and hotel lists.

The Park Hyatt St. Kitts which was officially opened in 2017 and is the only Park Hyatt in the Caribbean, was listed by CNN as number one of the 14 best new hotels and resorts opening in the Caribbean. Park Hyatt St. Kitts broke ground in mid-2013 and construction began in full force in 2014. It was one of the two largest resort developments on St. Kitts, the first being the Marriott Resort in Frigate Bay.

St. Kitts-Nevis yet again this week was announced as a highly commended Runner-Up in the Routes 2018 Award Destination category. In January 2018, the Federation was listed as one of the twenty-two destinations for 2018 in Bloomberg Businessweek magazine on their list entitled “Where To Go in 2018.”

These accomplishments are the evidence that proves the Denzil Douglas-led St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party administration worked long and hard to ‘put St. Kitts-Nevis on the map’, especially the Ministry of Tourism under the leadership of then Minister of Tourism, Richard ‘Ricky’ Skerritt. Together, their ingenuity and endless hard work created the solid FOUNDATION on which the Federation’s Tourism industry so firmly stands today.

The video posted below that was very recently created by the Ministry of Tourism serves as proof of the Labour Party’s FOUNDATION-BUILDING work in the area of Tourism.

Under Ricky’s watch, our Tourism industry shattered barriers that many other Caribbean islands did not even realize as existing!

Thanks to Ricky’s and Labour’s focus, vision, ingenuity, and hard work, the Federation is now officially benefiting from the Tourism industry.

SKNLP: IT WAS WORKING FOR YOU!
