CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — Lejae Legore of Pot Works has been convicted and fined a total of twenty-eight thousand Eastern Caribbean dollars (XCD $28,000) for multiple drug-related offences.
The penalties were handed down on March 10 at the Charlestown Magistrate Court by Her Honour Rhonda Nisbett-Browne.
Legore received the following fines:
XCD $3,000 for possession of Ecstasy, to be paid within one month, or two months’ imprisonment in default.
XCD $5,000 for possession of Ecstasy with intent to supply, to be paid within two months, or four months’ imprisonment in default.
XCD $10,000 for possession of cocaine with intent to supply, to be paid within five months, or twelve months’ imprisonment in default.
XCD $5,000 for possession of cocaine, to be paid within one month, or three months’ imprisonment in default.
XCD $5,000 for possession of cannabis with intent to supply, to be paid within two months, or four months’ imprisonment in default.
The charges were heard and determined at the Charlestown Magistrate Court, which has jurisdiction over criminal matters in Nevis.
