LIME partners with Reach for Recovery SKB Breast Cancer Support Group for 3rd annual “Shades of Pink” Event

Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis – October 3rd, 2014 – National Heroes
Day was well spent for hundreds of patrons “who valued every moment” at the
3rd annual ‘Shades of Pink” held on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at the
picturesque Palms Court Gardens.

The Reach for Recovery SKB Breast Cancer Support Group (RFRSKB) hosts
Shades of Pink annually as its staple fund raiser and as a celebration of the
Breast Cancer survivors in the federation. This year’s Shades of Pink featured
performances and appearances by Radical Praise, the reigning Caribbean
Talented Teen Pernelle Abraham, Mr Cool 2014 Alphonso Henry, Dennis
McCall, Adrian Scantlebury and more.

The LIME sponsored reigning National Carnival Queen Miss Jaycees
International Kaeve Armstrong also donated a portion of her pageant winnings
to the group in an extraordinary act of kindness in “paying it forward”.

Patrons decked in pink were delighted to partake in the raffles to raise funds
and won many spot and door prizes including free LIME credit, the premium
Blackberry Z10 and Z30 Smartphones!

Noteworthy in attendance at this year’s ‘Shades of Pink’ were, Hon. Marcella
Liburd the Minister of the Health, members of the public and private sector and
representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

RFRSKB Spokesperson Markysa O’Loughlin said, “We extend sincerest thanks
to LIME for the sponsorship. LIME has provided us with merchandise which we
will be using to spread awareness and generate revenue during our month of
activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2014.”

LIME General Manager David Lake explained, “Our support for the Reach for
Recovery Breast Cancer group’s activities in October, for the third year
consecutive year is our way of showing our commitment and support in the
fight against breast cancer in St. Kitts and Nevis.”

The telecoms provider is proud to have sponsored “Shades of Pink” which is the
first of many activities organised by RFRSKB for Breast Cancer Awareness

month, further solidifying its commitment to supporting a wide spectrum of
community empowerment initiatives throughout the federation.
