Man hospitalised overnight with non fatal injuries

Members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, and ROSS University Local Constables K9 Unit responded to a shooting incident which occurred at Bird Rock about 12:04 am, leaving one (1) person injured and hospitalised; shot is Mikhail Liburd of Bird Rock.

Initial investigation revealed that Mikhail Liburd returned home and was about to enter his home when he was attacked by two (2) armed assailants.

Five (5) persons are currently in police custody assisting with investigation, and one (1) semi automatic pistol and a number of rounds of ammunition were recovered and taken into police custody.
