Charlestown, Nevis, October 6, 2018 – The man who escaped an attempt on his life in Nevis early Saturday morning is being transferred to St. Kitts’ J. N. France General Hospital, well-placed sources said mid-morning Saturday.

Clay Ghaut resident, Keino Claxton and two companions were seated in a Toyota Harrier, P-2265, when they were attacked by two masked and armed men.

Claxton was taken to the Alexandra Hospital on Government Road, Charlestown with gunshot wounds and underwent surgery.

According to a source familiar with his injuries, “the bullet went through the side of his head travelled under his nose and came out the next side.”

“He was also shot in his hand. His jawbone and cheekbone are broken and separate from the head, he is not breathing on his own at the moment. They can’t check to see the damage below his jawbone because it’s swollen,” said the source.
