Basseterre, St. Kitts, Friday, October 20, 2023: The Rotary Club of Liamuiga held its annual Primary School Spelling Bee Competition on Thursday, October 19, where Markysha Archibald of the St. Pauls Primary School was declared the winner. Francisca Navarrete of the Ross Preparatory School placed second and Rae-Quan La Borde of the Tucker-Clarke Primary School placed third.
Nichole Liburd, President of The Rotary Club of Liamuiga, expressed gratitude to several stakeholders for their continued support and dedication to the Spelling Bee Competition.
The Spelling Bee competition is geared towards promoting literacy by providing children with a positive goal to work toward and giving them a forum to display the fruits of their hard work.
