Mildred Daniel Just One Short

Nisbett’s Settlement-Nevis—Tuesday 9th February was a significant day for Ms. Mildred Daniel of Nisbett’s Settlement in St. James’ Parish.
That is the day when she celebrated her 99th birthday. Many family members, friends and well-wishers, showed up to wish her all the best on her big day.
Among those present was the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, Junior Minister of Social Development who lauded the ‘birthday girl’ on her significant milestone and hailed her as a ‘woman of faith.’
She noted that many times people would visit Ms Daniel and instead of cheering her up, they were the ones who were cheered up, by the time they left.
She presented her with a fruit basket on behalf of the Ministry of Social Development and the City Drug store.
Also present and making their contributions with gifts and well wishes, were Pastor Ron Daniel and members of the Newcastle Wesleyan Holiness church.
Many family members also saluted the celebrant including granddaughter, Jewela who lauded her as a woman of great faith.
