Minister Evelyn Congratulates Leroy Chapman

Minister of Sports on Nevis, Hon. Eric Evelyn has offered congratulations to Leroy Chapman of Nevis, on his selection to St. Kitts and Nevis team that will represent the federation at North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Under 18 and Under 23 Championship in San Jose, Costa Rica from 9th – 11th July.

In a Facebook post, Minister Evelyn stated:
“I take this opportunity as Minister of Sports in the NIA to extend heartiest congratulations to Mr. Leroy Chapman who has made it to the Federation’s team to participate in the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Under 23 Games to be held July 9 – 11 in Costa Rica.

Leroy departs the Federation today and I would like on behalf of my Ministry and on my own behalf to wish him and the team every success.”

The full representative team is Amaya Clarke, Jahnaza Francis, Ian Liburd, and Leroy Chapman. Eric Francis will serve as the head coach.
Amaya Clarke will compete in under 23 women’s 100 meters dash.

Jahnaza Francis will compete in the under 23 men’s 400-meter hurdles.

Ian Liburd will compete in the under 23 men’s 100 meters dash.

Leroy Chapman will compete in the men’s 400-meter event

Liburd and Chapman left St. Kitts on Wednesday, July 7th, and will join their other teammates and head coach in Miami where they will all depart for Costa Rica on Thursday, July 8th, 2021.
