Minister Evelyn Gives Big Up To Nevisian Young Cricketers

On Friday 28th June, Minister of Sports on Nevis, Hon. Eric Evelyn, took time out to heartily congratulate the six under 17 cricketers from Nevis, who have been selected to the Leewards under 17 team, which will participate in the upcoming West Indies under 17 Cricket tournament, to be held in Trinidad shortly.
Minster Evelyn stated: ‘Nevis is small but not small minded.’
He congratulated the parents; coaches and everyone who has had anything to do with the success of the young cricketers.
‘The fact that there are six Antiguans in the team and also six Nevisians, speaks volumes to the talent we have here,’ he said proudly.
He was also quick to point out that 8 Nevisians went to Antigua to try out for the team and six were selected and one is on standby.
He asked the young cricketers to stay focused and indicated that when the reports from the various matches come out of Trinidad, he wants to hear that the Nevisians are excelling
