Minister of Health Exercises Her Powers, To Regulate Movement as A CoVID-19 Prevention Measure; The Regs Have the Approval of The Cabinet of Ministers

Exercising the powers conferred by section 10 of the Public Health Act, Cap.9.21, the Minister of Health, the Hon. Akilah Byron-Nisbett, with the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers, has made the Public Health (Restriction of Movement) Regulations, 2021.

These Regulations include a two-week period of restricted movement, which ends on Tuesday 8th June 2021.

Under these Regulations, from Saturday 29th May 2021, regional and international travellers shall be required to submit official proof of full vaccination against the COVID-19 virus prior to entry into Saint Christopher and Nevis, and they shall also be required to present official proof of full vaccination upon arrival into the Federation.

The aforementioned provisions shall not be applicable to citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Prior to entry, citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis shall still be required to submit official proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival. They shall also still be required to present official proof of a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival into the Federation.
