BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – The Ministry of Education officially ushered in the 2026–2027 academic year during its annual Back-to-School Ceremony on Monday, August 31, 2026. Education stakeholders from across the Federation gathered under this year’s theme: “Transforming Education Through Self-Renewal, Holistic Partnership, and Digital Solutions.”

Addressing the assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, the Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, commended schools nationwide for their strong performance in the 2026 CCSLC, CSEC, and CAPE examinations. He celebrated the dedicated educators and hardworking students whose joint efforts delivered notable academic success across all levels of assessment.
Minister Hanley extended a warm welcome to the cohort of new teachers joining the profession, acknowledging their vital role in shaping the nation’s youth. As schools prepare for the new term, he urged all educators to recommit to their shared mission—prioritizing student success through collaboration, personal well-being, and modern learning solutions.
