Ministry of Health on Nevis Hosts Activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Charlestown, Nevis – The Ministry of Health on Nevis, is hosting a series of activities as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The awareness campaign is designed to decimate pertinent information regarding the deadly scourge.

The following are the highlighted events proposed, during the month:

Wear pink during the month of October to raise breast cancer awareness

Create a photo wall at your place of business. Take a picture and post to the Facebook page of the Health Promotions Unit

12th to 16th October – Breast screening at all Health Centers in Nevis, except for Combermere and Cotton Ground

17th October – Pink Lily Walk – Join Pink Lily to support the fighters and survivors of breast cancer

18th October – Church Service at 11 am to 12 noon at the Church of Christ

21st October – Breast Cancer Forum -‘In the pink of things’-at NEPAC

23rd October – Pretty me Pink – Wear something pink on this day, Breast Cancer Day

24th October – Address by Junior Minister of Health, Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams

24th, 25th and 31st October – Mobile bus screening
