Miss Culture Queen Pageant Contestants 2013 make first interview appearance on VON Radio

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Co Chairperson of the Culturama senior pageants, Mrs. Cavelle Swanston- Howell was the guest along with the six contestants of the Ms Culture Queen Pageant 2013 on VON Radio Station last evening, Monday, June 24, 2013.
The contestants were at the time making their first interview appearance on a show hosted by Mr. Mervin Hanley known as ‘Culturama Talk’.
The contestants were again introduced to the public, along with their sponsors:
Contestant Number 1: Miss Coastal Air- Jahnel Nisbett
Contestant Number 2: Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Anguilla National Bank- Kentisha Daley
Contestant Number 3: Ms Carib Brewery- Jomelle Elliot
Contestant Number 4: Ms LIME- Tricilla Arthurton
Contestant Number 5: Ms St. Kitts-Nevis Development Bank- Catharine Seabrooks
Contestant Number 6: Ms NEVLEC- Vanessa Destouche
Mr. Hanley presented a number of questions on various topics to the young ladies. At the end of it all, it was the consensus of the listeners that each contestant performed well. This was evident when a number of listeners called in to the radio station and expressed their views on the contestants.
Callers to the program gave the contestants words of encouragement and expressed best wishes to them for the night of the pageant, Sunday, August 4, 2013.
Mrs. Swanston-Howell told the radio listeners that the plans for the Culturama Pageants 2013 were progressing smoothly. She indicated that the contestants have been practicing very hard and they have all reached a level of high confidence.
According to Howell, the contestants are ready to hit the stage and display their talent and beauty. She encouraged everyone to come out to the pageants and she promised that the shows would be of high standard.
The next major event for the contestants is a Fashion Show at the Caribbean Cove on Sunday, July 14, 2013. At that time the contestants would model fashions from local designers and from local stores in St. Kitts and Nevis.
Mrs. Swanston-Howell used the opportunity to invite persons to go to the Culturama facebook page and click ‘like’ to their favourite contestants.
Howell was crowned Ms Culture Queen in 1992.
