MONTPELIER FAMILY DONATES TO PINK LILY

Charlestown-Nevis-It was an extremely brief ceremony but very meaningful.

It was held at the historic Montpelier hotel on Thursday 2nd June and featured a presentation from the hotel fraternity to the Pink Lily Cancer Care Association.

Opening remarks were delivered by Marketing Manager at the hotel, Miss Kakia Michou who noted that it was a joy for the Montpelier hotel to assist such an organization as the Pink Lily Cancer Care, which is touching the lives of many individuals who are in need assistance.

She even pointed to the fact that certain sections of the hotel are painted in pink.

Making the presentation of the cheque, was one of the workers at the hotel, Miss Wilma Herbert, who noted that it was a joy to hand over the cheque on behalf of the Montpelier family. Miss Hebert herself is a cancer survivor.

Graciously accepting the cheque, was CEO of the Pink Lily Cancer Care Association, the dynamic Lea Parris-Cambridge. She stated that the money represented in the cheque was accumulated through the sale of water bottles and she indicated that the substantive amount was $7,500.00.

She thanked general manager John Mac Kinnon and his entire staff for their support and wished the hotel well in its future endeavours.
