Mother and Son Found Guilty of Receiving

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 15, 2018 (RSCNPF): A mother and her son were both found guilty for the offence of Receiving earlier this month in one of several incidents being investigated by the Police in Nevis.

Glenville Fahie of Government Road was convicted and sentenced to three (3) years in prison after pleading guilty to the offence of Receiving. The Larceny charge was withdrawn. His mother, Marcella Fahie also of Government Road, was convicted and cautioned for the same offence. The trial was one of several for Marcella and Glenville as they are facing additional charges for Receiving and Larceny.

The Police in Nevis have been investigating a number of cases of larceny that occurred at several construction sites between late January and February in which a number of building materials were reported stolen. As a result of their investigations, on February 18, 2018, Police Officers executed a search warrant on the premises of Marcella Fahie and a number of stolen items were recovered from a structure that was under construction. Both Marcella Fahie and her son, Glenville Fahie, were arrested and charged on February 22 for the offences of Larceny and Receiving.
