On June 29th 1992, the news echoed across the tiny village of Gingerland as Janice and Stedroy Dore welcomed, Arundell Amiel Dore. Passionate about the arts, Arundell’s love for music was beyond measure. However, he knew that having a sound education was imperative to his academic growth. With this being fuel for his academic vessel Arundell began his Early Childhood education at the Gingerland Pre-School. He then moved onto the Gingerland Primary School which was later renamed the Jocelyn Liburd Primary School. While there Arundell was an avid member of the school’s choir where he was able to showcase his musical ability to those that surrounds him. After successfully completing his common entrance examination Arundell was able to secure a positon in one of the top classes at the acclaimed Gingerland Secondary School. Though he was eager to learn he knew that having an extra-curricular activity would allow him to balance both academics and his passion for the art of music. Moreover, he was also an active member of the Gingerland Secondary Steel Orchestra. Arundell later went on to sit the Caribbean Examination (CXC) where he was successful. As his vessel continued to charter its course on the seas of academic excellence he later graduated from the Nevis Sixth Form College, where he majored in Business Administration.

Although education was his first priority, music was still his first love. This propelled him to join the awe- inspiring Nepac Choir. Thinking out loud, Arundell and three of his friends decided it was their time to shine so in April of 2014 they formed the much-admired male singing group known to the people of Nevis as GQ. This Group made their debut performance at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre that very year and to date is one of Nevis’s best male vocal group.

Currently, Arundell is employed at CIBC First Caribbean International Bank as a customer service representative. Having a love for service it is his goal to one day hold a degree in Hospitality Management. Hence, boosting the tourism product of Nevis.
