Nevis Academy wins Talented Youth Pageant 2016

(CHARLESTOWN NEVIS)- Armadi Byron-Hendrickson and Odecia Edwards of the Nevis Academy Primary School, were crowned Mr. and Miss Talented Youth 2016 on Sunday, July 24 at the Nevis Cultural Complex.

The students were sponsored by, Manners Mobile Refrigeration and AC Services and competed against 14 other participants from 7 other schools as part of Culturama 42 Youth Pageant.

The battle between the contestants was highly competitive from the outset. All the participants exuded self confidence and determination, as they competed against each other in four judged segments.

At the end of the evening’s proceedings, the Nevis Academy contestants captured the Best Talent and Promotional Speech segments while the St. Thomas’ Primary School won best Creative Wear and National Wear segments.

Second runner up was awarded to Shadey Bridgeman and Tinijay Lawrence of the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School. They amassed a total of 585 points. The St. Thomas’s Primary School gained a total of 609 points and was awarded first runner up.

The 2016 Mr. and Miss Talented Youth winners went to the Nevis Academy Primary School. They gained a total of 619 points respectively.
