On Friday 26th May, the Nevis Masters engaged their Anguillan counterparts at the newly laid track at Red Hook in St. Thomas, as part of the 2017 edition of the Leeward Islands Masters tournament.
Anguilla won the toss and opted to send the Nevis team in to bat. A fundamental error, as the Nevisians, led by attacking knocks by Junior Mills and Tony Grant, raced to 163 for 5 in the allotted 15 overs.
When the Anguillans batted, they were restricted by tight bowling from the Nevisian bowlers and wickets fell at regular intervals.
In the end, they could only muster 82 for 7. Nevis won by 81 runs.
