We had an inspiring and informative session on the topic “The Church and Drugs” with members of the St. Kitts–Nevis Drug Council. During the discussion, we were presented with recent surveys and data highlighting patterns of drug use within our population.
We gained firsthand insight into the prevalence of this issue and, as a church body, reflected on meaningful ways we can intervene to support and uplift our country. As the salt of the earth, we recognise our responsibility and have committed, as a church community, to doing our part to reduce—and ultimately eliminate—the use of harmful drugs in St. Kitts and Nevis.
Special thanks are extended to Nadine Carty and Karimu Byron Caines, who served as our presenters. Their engaging and relatable approach encouraged meaningful interaction and open dialogue.
The Nevis Evangelical Association remains deeply grateful for the continued collaboration of churches across the island as we work together to raise awareness and confront critical issues that the Church must address.
