Nevis’ fifth murder victim autopsy reveals

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- On Saturday, May 23, 2015, a post mortem examination was conducted on the body of 38 year old Wayne ‘Squaddan’ Ferlance.

The results indicate that Ferlance died from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

At about 4: 00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the Mount Lily area.

News reaching this publication states that in the wee hours of Monday morning, Ferlance was attacked at his Mount Lily residence when masked gunmen invaded his home with his pregnant girlfriend a toddler. It was further reported that the gunmen identified themselves as ‘Police’, and went to the bedroom where Ferlance occupied at the time with his daughter, and opened fire on him.

The autopsy reveals that he was shot seven times.

Ferlance, who was deported from the U.S.A. a few years ago, had been shot in the mouth in February 2014 during an altercation at Enrique’s Bar. Then, in January of this year, Ferlance was once again targeted when unknown assailant(s) fired a number of shots at his home while he was inside. Sources also indicated that he was attacked on a previous occasion.

This media house also understands that one day after his gruesome death; intruder (s) broke into the deceased home and stole a number of items.

His killing brought the total number of murders in the Federation to 15 for 2015; 10 on St. Kitts and 5 on Nevis.

The deceased will be laid to rest on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Beaulah Sabbath Day Adventist Church, Nisbett Settlement, Newcastle.
