Charlestown-Nevis-A source at the Youth and Sports Department in Nevis, has confirmed that five of the twenty-five most remarkable teens for 2018, are from Nevis.
The source stopped short of giving the names of the five and pointed out that that revelation will be made later this evening, when the special awards ceremony will be held at the National Assembly chambers, commencing at 6.30 pm.
At this special sitting of the house of assembly, the Federation MP’s will not only present the awards to the deserving teenagers, but will also use the opportunity to congratulate them personally on their outstanding achievements.
The teenagers would have been especially recommended by community members for having excelled in non-traditional categories such as citizenship, spiritual commitment, performing arts, writing, courage to overcome and most enterprising.
They would have also gone through a rigid selection process, before the final twenty-five selections were made.
The special sitting of the house will be brought live via ZIZ radio and television
