Mothers’ day is a day which draws out the soft spot in most persons around the world.
As the significant day of celebration and appreciation of mothers’ world wide, approaches on Sunday 8th May, individuals, businesses and institutions are making serious plans to make the day meaningful.
At the Nevis international Secondary school on Nevis, the students there are being asked to focus on making the day extra special for their respective mothers, due to the hours of sacrificial love and care, demonstrated on a daily basis by the special women in their lives.
It is in this regard that the parent teachers Association (PTA) of the school, is planning to start the celebrations a day early.
On Saturday 7th May, the PTA of the school will be hosting a unique celebration of mothers, dubbed “Tea with Mama.’
Here is a rare opportunity for members of the general public who are still privileged enough to have their mothers on the land of the living, to bring them and enjoy the day with them at the Nevis International school where there will be a variety of delicious local teas; a hat parade and other forms of live entertainment.
The activity kick starts at 3.00 pm and is expected to run until 5.30 pm.
A small charge of $20.00 EC will go towards assisting the school in its fund raising endeavours.
Headmistress of the school, Miss Joy Napier is encouraging the general public to support the event.
