Nevis mourns the death of Carl Winston Williams, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism

The island of Nevis was plunged into mourning on the evening of Sunday, March 26, 2017 when the death of Mr. Carl Winston Williams, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Information was announced.

The beloved Williams, who was affectionately known as Stephen or Macka, was a friend to all. He had served Nevis and Nevisians in various capacities over the duration of his career. He was a trained teacher, a graduate teacher, who taught for years at the Prospect Primary, St. James Primary and later the St. John’s Primary School. He also served as the Principal at the Gingerland Secondary School.

Williams was the husband of Honorable Hazel Brandy-Williams.
