Nevis mourns the death of young athlete, Tesril Nisbett

The sporting fraternity in the Federation of St.Kitts- Nevis and the island of Nevis are today mourning the death of young Tesril Nisbett of Brown Hill Village, Nevis.

Tesril, a young athlete passed away after a brief period of illness.

Tesril was an avid athlete. She was a national footballer and javelin thrower. Today, the St. Kitts Nevis Football Association posted on it Facebook page: ‘Today we say goodbye to an angel. Tesril Nisbett, a former national footballer left the earth today but will forever remain in the hearts of all those that she has touched. A young soul, but a very mature individual was she. A friend to all. Tesril, you will be missed by the entire football family. May your spirit remain amongst us always.

Tesril was the present female javelin record holder who won the bronze medal in the Female Javelin Throw Event in the 2009 Carifta Games. According to the Facebook page of the St. Kitts Nevis Amateur Athletic Association page today, Tesril was expected to compete in the National Invitational and Club Competition on Sunday, June 16, 2013.
