The Nevis Investment Promotion Agency (NIPA) is highlighting a range of incentives available to investors interested in agribusiness on the island, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote sustainable investment and economic diversification.

According to NIPA, Nevis provides several benefits designed to reduce startup and operational costs for agribusiness investors. These incentives include exemptions from import duties and Value Added Tax (VAT) on equipment, machinery, and supplies specific to the agribusiness sub-sector, as well as exemptions from import duties on approved vehicles.

Investors can also benefit from exemptions from income taxes, including the Unincorporated Business Tax, along with access to special water rates to support agricultural operations.

These incentives form part of Nevis’ broader strategy to encourage investment in agriculture, enhance food security, and create sustainable economic opportunities on the island.

The Nevis Investment Promotion Agency continues to invite local, regional, and international investors to explore the opportunities available within Nevis’ growing agribusiness sector.
