Nevis – September 6, 2026 – Nevis Pages extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, former classmates, and loved ones of Zidane Knight, whose untimely passing in Taiwan has left the communities of Nevis and St. Kitts mourning the loss of a remarkably talented and accomplished young woman.
Zidane was pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering in Taiwan on scholarship, having travelled there in 2022 to continue her university education. Her academic achievements and exceptional abilities had distinguished her from an early age.
She was widely celebrated for her outstanding performance in the CSEC examinations, in which she earned an impressive 15 subjects—13 Grade Ones and 2 Grade Twos. Her achievement earned her recognition as the top CXC student in St. Kitts and Nevis in 2018.
Beyond academics, Zidane was recognised for her talents in the performing arts, named among the 25 Most Remarkable Teens in St. Kitts and Nevis for her achievements in that field.
Her journey from Brown Hill, Nevis, to university in Taiwan reflected a young woman of extraordinary promise, determination, and intellectual ability. She represented the aspirations of a generation of young Caribbean people pursuing excellence both at home and abroad.
Her passing is a profound loss to her family and to all who knew and admired her. The accomplishments she achieved at such a young age serve as a lasting testament to her intelligence, dedication, and potential.
