Nevis-Produced Film Pan Gyul Selected for American Black Film Festival in Miami

The Nevis Film Commission has congratulated filmmaker Juliette Jeffers on her short film *Pan Gyul* being selected for screening at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) in Miami.

The film is scheduled to be shown on May 30 at 8:40 p.m. at the Convention Centre in South Beach.

Founded by Jeff Friday, ABFF is regarded as a leading platform for Black creatives, showcasing diverse storytelling while connecting emerging and established talent with major industry players. Held annually in Miami Beach, the festival features film screenings, panel discussions and participation from top entertainment companies, including Netflix and HBO.

This year’s 30th anniversary lineup includes prominent figures such as Regina King, Chloe Bailey, Coco Jones and Taye Diggs.

The Nevis Film Commission expressed appreciation to the American Black Film Festival and EURweb.com for recognising a film produced in Nevis, noting that the selection highlights the importance of supporting local storytelling while promoting the island’s cultural heritage on an international stage.
