NEVIS ROUND THE ISLAND RUN SET FOR MAY 2ND

The third Nevis round the island relay is now set for Monday 2nd May.

Chief organizers and well known Triathletes on the island, Reggie Douglas and James Weekes, revealed on Monday that the event will be held next Monday –May 2nd.

As has been the case in the previous two outings, the event will commence at the ET Willet Park and will involve relay teams consisting of ten member each.

The relay stations remain the same:

Four Seasons main entrance
Remax
Top of Hurricane Hill
Newcastle Police Station
St. James’ Anglican Church
Butler’s Seventh Day Adventist Church
Top of Zion Hill
Top of Pond Hill
Brown Hill Bus stop
Climax at the ET Willet Park

There are two categories: Schools and Adults.

Adults will pay $50.00 per person and school children will pay $25.00 each.

There will be 1st; 2nd and 3rd place medals and trophies; each participant will also receive a participation medal;

The participants will also receive a T-shirt and a free breakfast, compliments of one of the main sponsors, Boddies’ Café.

Proceeds from the event will as per usual be donated to the Nevis Maternal fund and both organizers are asking for as many persons as possible to support the effort.

“We don’t know when it will be our turn to get assistance,’ they stated.

They also had special words of encouragement for one of the persons who has supported the event over the two years, Dr. Bardales-Essien who herself is a cancer survivor and is currently not doing too well.
