NEVIS, West Indies – The Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) strengthened its engagement with international travel media during International Media Marketplace (IMM) UK, held March 9–10, 2026, in London.
Celebrating its 14th year, IMM is widely regarded as the travel industry’s leading global networking event connecting tourism brands with editors, journalists, broadcasters and content creators. The event’s structured format of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings provides destinations with a valuable platform to present compelling story ideas, identify and engage influential travel writers and journalists for potential media visits, and update the international media on key destination developments. Equally important, it facilitates the cultivation of meaningful, long-term relationships with respected members of the global travel press.
Nevis was represented at the event by Andia Ravariere, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority, and Talia Francis, UK Public Relations Representative. Over the course of two days, the pair conducted 32 scheduled meetings with leading travel journalists, editors, luxury lifestyle publications and key travel trade media, further strengthening Nevis’ visibility within the international media landscape.
Key discussions included meetings with BBC Travel, the Daily Express and Sunday Express, as well as leading travel industry publications Travel Weekly, TTG and TTG Luxury. These conversations provided valuable opportunities to showcase Nevis’ distinctive appeal, including its rich cultural heritage, renowned culinary scene, boutique accommodations and reputation for understated Caribbean luxury.
Andia Ravariere, CEO, Nevis Tourism Authority noted, “Participation in IMM UK provides an invaluable opportunity for Nevis to engage directly with some of the most important voices in travel media. These conversations allow us to share the authentic story of our island, from our rich heritage and culinary traditions to the understated luxury and genuine hospitality that define the Nevis experience. Building meaningful relationships with journalists, media houses and storytellers is essential to ensuring that Nevis continues to inspire discerning travellers seeking something truly special in the Caribbean.”
Participation in IMM UK forms part of the Nevis Tourism Authority’s ongoing international marketing strategy to strengthen media partnerships and increase destination visibility in key markets. By engaging directly with influential journalists and storytellers, the Authority continues to position Nevis as a premier Caribbean destination for discerning travellers.
