CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — Demonstrating its commitment to developing the next generation of tourism leaders, the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) recently hosted Junior Minister of Tourism Rondré Daniel for an immersive, behind-the-scenes overview of the Authority’s operations at its headquarters.
The visit provided Junior Minister Daniel with an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the strategic work undertaken by the NTA to market and promote Nevis as a premier Caribbean destination.
Gaining First-Hand Industry Experience
During the visit, Junior Minister Daniel engaged with NTA department heads and staff and was briefed on the Authority’s key areas of responsibility, including strategic marketing, public relations, destination promotion and stakeholder engagement.
The experience also highlighted the importance of collaboration across the tourism sector and the coordinated efforts required among industry stakeholders to sustain and strengthen Nevis’ tourism economy.
The visit forms part of Junior Minister Daniel’s preparation to represent Nevis at the upcoming Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Tourism Youth Congress, scheduled for October 2026. The regional event will provide an important platform for young tourism representatives to share their perspectives, ideas and vision for the future of Caribbean tourism.
Investing in Future Tourism Leaders
The NTA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting young people and creating opportunities for them to gain practical knowledge and experience within the tourism industry.
“Investing in the next generation of tourism leaders is an important part of building a sustainable future for our industry,” the Nevis Tourism Authority stated. “We are pleased to support Rondré on his journey and wish him every success as he prepares to showcase his knowledge, passion and vision for the future of tourism.”
The NTA and the wider Nevisian community extend their full support to Junior Minister Daniel as he prepares to take the regional stage in October.
His participation in the CTO Tourism Youth Congress represents an opportunity not only to showcase his knowledge and passion for tourism, but also to highlight Nevis’ commitment to empowering young people to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of the Caribbean tourism industry.
