Nevis — The Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA), led by CEO Andia Ravariere, completed a series of high-level meetings and engagements in New York City, generating strong momentum across top-tier media, broadcast, trade, and cultural platforms.

During the visit, the NTA engaged with a targeted group of influential media professionals, including Liz Cantrell (Senior Editor, Travel + Leisure), Hannah Walhout (Senior Editor, AFAR), Aly Walansky (Forbes contributor), Jennifer Bisram (Reporter/Anchor, CBS New York), Lindsey Granger (Host, World of Travel TV / NewsNation), Arnie Weissmann (Former Editor-in-Chief, Travel Weekly), Lauren Scala (Reporter/Host, NBC New York), and Shelley Worrell (Founder & CEO, I AM CARIBBEING).

These meetings provided a platform to showcase Nevis’ unique tourism offerings, including its commitment to sustainable, community-led tourism, culinary experiences, and authentic cultural engagement. Discussions centred on potential editorial features, broadcast integrations, and future press visits to the island.

The visit yielded several tangible outcomes, including multiple press trip opportunities currently in development, ongoing conversations around broadcast features and television integrations, and a mix of immediate and long-lead editorial placements across travel, culinary, and lifestyle media.

CEO Andia Ravariere noted, “Our engagement in New York reflects a strategic approach to strengthening Nevis’ presence within key international markets. As part of the engagement, Shelisia Glasford, Director of VIP and MICE, attended a live taping of The Sherri Shepherd Show, where she engaged with key contacts within the daytime television space. This experience provided valuable networking opportunities and strengthened relationships within the entertainment and broadcast industry, further expanding potential avenues for destination exposure and future media collaborations for Nevis.

The visit concluded with participation in the Brown Folks Connect event hosted by Candi Carter. The event also featured a trip giveaway to Nevis, further driving destination interest.

The Nevis Tourism Authority is actively advancing each opportunity identified during the visit. This initiative underscores the NTA’s continued commitment to elevating Nevis’ global profile and reinforcing its position as a must-visit Caribbean destination.
