The Nevis under 19 Cricket team, left the Charlestown harbour on Wednesday 30th March, en route to Antigua, where they will participate, starting this week, in the Leeward Islands under 19 tournament.
President of the local association, Denrick Liburd, opined that the team will do well. He noted that they are the current defending champions and excepted them to dominate the tournament.
Manager of the team, Errol Somersall, also expressed similar sentiments.
Captain Ross Powell, noted that the team is not only expected to win but stated that he had emphasized to the team, the importance of making lots of runs and getting wickets, as it will all count towards selection on the Leewards islands team.
The team left via the MV Sea Hustler and later boarded a flight in St.Kitts, headed for Antigua, where the tournament will be played.
