Nevispages annually recognizes persons in the community who have contributed positively to the Nevisian Community. Over the years we had recognized health care workers, community workers, politicians, sports personnel, and entrepreneurs.
This year we again recognize two individuals for their entrepreneurship prowess and from that their significant contributions to the tourism product of the island of Nevis. This year we honor Mr. Llewellyn ‘Sunshine’ Caines and Mr. Randy Jeffers as Nevispages ‘Persons of the Year 2014’.
Mr. Caines, Manager and owner of Sunshine’s Beach Bar and Grill has made a name for himself and this beautiful 36 square mile island, Nevis. He has the leading beach bar not only in Nevis but also in the Caribbean. Over the years his establishment has hosted the rich and famous and who all fell in love with his signature rum punch the ‘Killer Bee’. Mr. Caines is also a significant contributor to the tourism industry on the island. Undoubtedly, his name and bar may be one of the biggest selling points of the tourism product on Nevis.
It is then as a result of these factors that Nevispages has chosen Mr. Llewellyn Caines as one of its ‘Persons of the Year 2014’.
Mr. Randy Jeffers, Owner of the LIME Beach Bar and Grill located on Pinney’s Beach Nevis is a young man who is well known as a Tourism Ambassador for the island of Nevis. Additionally, he is also well known in the field of pageantry. He has been known to organize various pageants successfully and is always highly praised for his innovative, creative and classy approach to these pageants. More importantly however, his ability to bring his LIME Beach Bar as one of the leading beach bars in the Federation is nothing short of genius.
It is as a result of these factors that Nevispages has chosen Mr. Randy Jeffers as one of its ‘Persons of the Year 2014’.
