NEVIS — The Nevis Electricity Company Limited (NEVLEC) has shared an update about how much electricity will cost for the October-November 2026 billing period.

Here is what you need to know about the new update:

💡 What is the Fuel Surcharge?

Making electricity takes fuel, just like a car needs gas to run. When the price of fuel goes up or down, it changes how much it costs NEVLEC to make electricity. Because of this, NEVLEC checks the price every single month.

💰 What is Changing?

For the October to November 2026 billing period, the Fuel Surcharge will be EC$0.94 per kilowatt-hour (kWh).

🔍 Important Things to Know:

  • This extra charge is temporary and changes every month depending on how much fuel costs.

  • It helps NEVLEC make sure everyone keeps getting reliable electricity.
