There is a new gym in town—well, maybe not quite in town, but that is one of the reasons why it came into being in the first place.
The gym is located in the St. James’ Parish, in one of the LEFCO buildings, situated at Barnaby.
Gym owner Derrie HERO Browne noted that in conceiving the idea, he was cognizant of the fact that the other gyms are located in Gingerland and Charlestown and so he had to cater to persons who require such services, from that side of the island.
Initially, the thought process was just for him to buy some equipment and work out in his yard, in order to work off some of the covid related excess weight and then he thought that he could share with other people as well.
He noted that all of the basic equipment seen at gyms are available for use, with the addition of nutritious and healthy smoothies, available at a low cost, after workouts.
The membership cost per month is only $100.00 EC and includes group workout sessions, three days per week.
The gym is open from 5.30 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The official name of the gym is HEALTH IS WEALTH FITNESS CENTER and it opened on the 23rd of January 2023.
