The police are investigating a traffic accident that resulted in the death of twenty-nine-year-old Simoneth Williams from St. Peter’s, St. Kitts. The incident occurred on December 20, 2024, between 11:30 PM and midnight on the main road in New Road, near the fencing of the runway at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport. Preliminary investigations indicate that Ms Williams was struck by a vehicle while walking along the road.
She was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital via ambulance for treatment, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter. The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) processed the scene and collected several items of evidentiary value.
Both the vehicle and its driver have been identified, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway. The public will be kept informed about developments as the investigation progresses. The RSCNPF extends heartfelt condolences to all those affected by this tragedy.
