Newton delivered a thrilling run in his semifinal heat, finishing a very close second, narrowly missing the top spot but comfortably securing qualification for the championship final. His determined performance demonstrated both speed and resilience as he battled stride for stride with the leader down the final stretch.
Representing Saint Kitts and Nevis, Newton’s achievement adds to a strong showing from athletes from Nevis at this year’s regional championships.
