NIA announces scholarship opportunities in Romania & Colombia

NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (April 26, 2018) — The following is an announcement from the Ministry of Human Resources in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) regarding scholarship opportunities for studies in Romania.

The Nevis Island Administration, Ministry of Human Resources is pleased to inform you of Romanian Scholarship offers.  The higher education institutions in Romania are offering a number of scholarships in the following fields:  

  1. Political science, public administration, management, communications and public relations, international relations and European studies, which are offered by the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration.
  2. Medical field (immunology, genetics, pathology, drug analysis), which are offered by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureș.
  3. Agronomic sciences, veterinary medicine, biotechnologies, land reclamation and horticulture, which are offered by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.

Scholarships will cover tuition fee, accommodation and study materials. Courses will be conducted in English unless otherwise indicated. However, Air Fare, Health Insurance and Stipends will NOT be paid by the Government of Romania.

The Nevis Island Administration, Ministry of Human Resources is pleased to inform you of the Colombia Scholarship Offer, which provide applicants with the opportunity to specialize in Masters and/or PHD programs in Colombia.  In order to apply, candidates must meet the below requirements:

  1. A foreign undergraduate degree in any area of knowledge
  2. At least 4.0 GPA of the undergraduate program
  3. At least one (1) year of professional experience in the related field
  4. Have a high level of Spanish language
  5. Must be in a range of age between 25-49 years old

Scholarship will cover;

  1. Tuition fee;
  2. Living expenses;
  3. Health insurance;
  4. Books and materials;
  5. Visa application; and
  6. Move in grant.
