Charlestown-Nevis—Persons who intend to nominate someone for the prestigious honour of being one of the twenty-five most remarkable teens for 2015, are for all intents and purposes, almost out of time.
According to Miss Zahnela Claxton, Director of the Youth Department on Nevis, nominations will officially close on Monday 1st June.
Interested persons have the opportunity to nominate young people who will be recognized in non-traditional categories including Courage to Overcome, Civic Involvement, Writing, Performing Arts, Leadership, Most Enterprising and Youth Activism.
Application forms may be collected and returned to the Department of Youth Empowerment, St. Kitts, or Department of Youth and Sports, Nevis or at any High School in the Federation.
Nominations close June 1st 2015
Meanwhile interested persons have a little more time to nominate young persons within the Federation of St.Kitts and Nevis to CARICOM youth ambassadorial positions.
The Department of Youth Empowerment is now accepting applications for the positions:
• CARICOM Youth Ambassador Female
• CARICOM Youth Ambassador Alternate Male
• CARICOM Youth Ambassador Alternate Female
Applicants should be between 18 to 28 years of age.
Application forms may be collected and returned to the Department of Youth Empowerment, St. Kitts, or Department of Youth and Sports, Nevis no later than June 12th, 2015.
