Earlier this week, the Oualie Sports Management (OSM) Team won the inaugural Big Six T20 Sugar Mas Tournament.

It was just last year when Therele R. Wallace Rasheed R Eddy and myself hosted a match which we dubbed the Sugar Mas Cup. The support we received over the following months evolved into this two-week-long, four-team competition. It is safe to say cricket is alive in St Kitts & Nevis!

This endeavour could not be possible without the support of the Ministries of Sports in St Kitts and Nevis, and Island Purified Water Ltd.

As part of the Oualie Sports Management team, we would like to thank everyone who made this tournament possible, especially the groundsmen, umpires, the apple syder boat crew, SKN News Line who provided a live stream of the games and of most importantly the teams which were Maximum Strikers, Young Guns, City Sunrisers And OSM.

We want to recognise some stand-out talents, firstly, Terrance Warde for earning player of the tournament. Ross Powell and Adrian Williams closed out the tournament with the most runs and most wickets respectively. On a personal note I would like to mention my little brother Lyhte Browne for his man of the match performance in game 1 taking 5 wickets.

The tournament featured several Leeward Islands Franchise players which not only reiterates the existence of our talent in our small nation, but also provides an opportunity for others to use this adjacency to elevate.

Again, thank you to all and see you next year!
