“Together We Can build” it is a great expectation for Pink Lily Cancer Care and the name of this year’s Pink Lily walkathon for a reason Lea told us. The “Together We Can Build It” Walkathon is a fundraiser to enable the charity to work towards the goal of building The Pink Lily Cancer Support & Care Retreat on Nevis to provide quality cancer awareness, support and care for the people of St. Kitts & Nevis. We need to come together as a nation to build a centre that will support each and everyone at every step of their journey and help lift the burden, anxiety and fear that having cancer brings.

According to Pink Lily Chair and Support Coordinator, Tracy Parris registration includes a Lovely bright Pink “Together We Can Build it” T-shirt, a healthy Pink Lily breakfast at “Sunshine’s” on Pinney’s beach and a chance to win prizes for the first man, first woman, first child, oldest and youngest walkers.

Registration is on Wednesday October 19 and Friday October 21st from I0.00am – 6p.m at the Memorial Square, Charlestown, Nevis; where participants will be able to collect their T-shirts and breakfast tickets.

Pink Lily Founder and Campaign Coordinator Lea Parris-Cambridge calls on sponsors and well wishers to support Pink Lily’s effort to help the people of Nevis, saying “everyone is your potential customer, employee or colleague, even family or friend and cancer can touch any one at any time. What will they do? where will they turn if cancer knocks on their door? Pink Lily is here to make a difference, here to inform, here to educate, here to comfort, here to support, here to empower, here to care”.

By supporting the Pink Lily “Together we can Build It” Walkathon & Campaign you are acknowledging the need for quality cancer care in St. Kitts & Nevis and you are helping to make a difference.

Lea would like to thank the local sponsors who have already enlisted to make the walkathon possible and even though we are going through a very difficult economic time, they willingly gave; namely Tropical Shipping in association with Delisle Walwyn & Co Ltd, Montpelier Plantation & Beach Club, Digicel, Nevlec, Sunshine’s Bar, Lounge & Grill and Scotia Bank.

There are several ways to show support; make a donation, fund, sponsor, contribute, volunteer your time, lend equipment or knowledge to build the Pink Lily Cancer Support Centre & Care Retreat. Your contribution will be forever acknowledged with each brick laid and appreciated by the families who the Pink Lily Support Centre and Care Retreat makes a difference to.

Pink Lily cancer care Nevis, relies on volunteer help, donations from the public, community fund raising efforts, patrons, sponsorship and funding to provide its service free to clients.

By working together we can make a difference.
