Police Investigating Robbery in Sandy Point Area

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 19, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a robbery that occurred on the island main road just before Sandy Point.

Investigations revealed that the robbery occurred sometime around 9.30pm, Monday (January 18) when the victim while driving towards Sandy Point was stopped by a car that pulled in front of him an stopped. He was robbed of his groceries and money by three (3) armed masked assailants.

The vehicle involved is described as a grey Suzuki car without licence plates.

Officers of the Sandy Point Police Station are investigating the incident. Anyone who may have seen this motor vehicle last night and knows of its whereabouts are asked to contact the Sandy Point Police Station at 465-6261 or any Police Station. Residents may also provide information on this or any other Criminal Activity by calling Crime Stoppers, the anonymous hotline at 1- 800-847 (TIPS).
