Police Investigating Robbery of Newton Ground Bar

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January, 23, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating an armed robbery in the Newton Ground area.
Investigations have revealed that sometime around 10.00pm, Friday night (January 22), two masked men armed with handguns entered the “Body Slam” bar and robbed several persons. Although the weapons were not used, one person suffered minor injuries that were treated later at the Pogson Hospital.
The men were described as one being tall, about 6 feet in height and thick and the other short about 5 feet, 6 inches in height and slim.
Officers of the Sandy Point Police Station are investigating the incident and have asked for the support of the public in finding the perpetrators.
If you were in the area of the “Body Slam” bar between 9.30 to 10.00pm on Friday night and may have seen any activity, please contact the Police. What you may have seen could be of value in solving this crime.
