Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 23, 2016, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently investigating a shooting incident in Nevis. The incident occurred about 1.35pm today Saturday (January 23).
Initial investigations have revealed that two males one 52 years of age and the other 36, were shot by an assailant while in the vicinity of “Teddyz Bar” in Church Ground. The assailant fired several gunshots at victims striking them multiple times. Both victims were transported to the Alexandra Hospital and are being treated for injuries.
Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) and Technicians from the Forensics Services Unit have canvassed the scene for evidence.
Commissioner (Ag) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Mr. Stafford Liburd informs that a suspect is being sought by the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
The investigation is ongoing.
