POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING IN ST PAUL’S

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 14, 2016, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently investigating a shooting incident in the Rawlins Pasture area in St. Paul’s. The incident occurred about 10.45pm on Wednesday (January 13) and resulted in injuries to 24 year old, Kishmo Carey of St. Paul’s.

Initial investigations have revealed that Carey and another person were walking across a playing field in the area when an unknown assailant fired several gunshots at them one (1) of which struck Carey in his foot.  He was transported to the J. N. France General Hospital by ambulance and is being treated for the injury sustained.

Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) and Technicians from the Forensics Services Unit have canvassed the scene for evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
