Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 3, 2018 – Police in St. Kitts on Wednesday issued a wanted bulletin for a former police officer in connection with the gun-related death of Constable Brian Pacquette.

Dijon Warner, 24, who also served as a bodyguard for Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, is wanted on a manslaughter charge for the June 23 2016 death of the Dominica-born lawman.

“Anyone with information about Dijon Warner is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 466-2241 ext 4200 or the nearest police station. Dijon Warner is described as being 5ft. 8” tall, slimly built, with dark brown eyes and black well-kept hair,” a police statement said.

Thirty-four-year-old Paquette was shot in the upper leg by Warner during what should have been a routine detention of a larceny suspect.

Warner has since left the police force and is said to be living in the United States.

Paquette died on July 18 after undergoing surgery in Trinidad to remove the wounded leg.

Following an investigation the file was submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
