(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently investigating a traffic accident that occurred this morning Thursday, April 02, 2015 in the parish of St. James.
This media house understands that at about 10:00 a.m. medical personnels rushed to the scene when it was reported that a police officer had fallen off the police motorbike in the Liburd Hill area.
The officer was identified as Constable Jeffers who is stationed at the New Castle Police Station. He was transported to the Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.
This media house was reliably informed that the officer lost control of the motor bike as he tried to avoid colliding with another vehicle that was driving in the opposite direction.
Reports indicate that the officer would remain in the hospital for further observation.
